Lessons With Lily: Perseverance

Keep Moving in the Game

There is nothing like playing a game of Monopoly Jr. with my wife and our 4-year-old daughter, Lily. Lily is the light of my life, and it’s never too early to teach our children about the values of a dollar. In this case, playing the Monopoly Jr. version, we had a lot of fun, and learned some things along the way.

With dice in hand, around the board she went gathering up properties and collecting “rent.”  What could be better?

She rolled and landed on Park Place and paying out her last dollar, she felt defeated. She wanted to quit. However, she still had to roll the dice. I encouraged her not to quit, but to roll again.

She rolled and was able to reach “GO” and collect her $2.

Lily persevered. And won. Her vision for the end was clouded by the fact she thought she lost, and there was no hope for her goal of winning.

Morale of the story: Keep a clear vision. Don’t give up. Sometimes you need someone who can encourage you along the way.

That’s where Behney Management Strategies comes in.

With BMS at your side, I can assist you with your objectives, whatever they may be. I can encourage you along the way not to give up, help keep your vision clear, and assist you in your financial security.
