Outsourced Accountant/Bookkeeper

Behney Management Strategies LLC, a financial consultancy firm, has an immediate opening for an experienced Outsourced Accountant/Bookkeeper. This individual will provide accounting related support to Behney Management clients in the areas of general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and payroll compliance.

Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

-Perform bookkeeping duties for a portfolio of small/medium businesses with accuracy under possible tight deadlines (A/P, A/R, bank transactions, payroll entries, month end journals).
-Prepare management accounts and year end accounts.
-Act as client liaison and communicate directly with clients as part of bookkeeping and accounts preparation process.
-Prepare financials, reconciliations and process payrolls. Also prepares client chart of accounts and GL set-up.
-Prepare payroll and sales tax returns for multiple states (including general ledger analysis and tax closing).
-Build and maintain client relationships focused on excellent customer service.
-Ensures financial data is entered correctly and accurately.
-Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required qualifications & skills include:
-Three (3) or more years of bookkeeping/accounting experience
-Associates degree in accounting or related field
-Expert working knowledge of QuickBooks Online (QBO) and/or Sage Intacct accounting software package;
-Strong technical skills including the ability to effectively utilize technology and the commitment to learning in a technology environment
-Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
-Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive team environment

This is a hybrid remote position, allowing for work from home mixed with occasional client on-site interactions. Applicants should be located in the Central Pennsylvania markets.

Base salary
$40,000/yr - $60,000/yr
