Lessons with Lily – Watch It Grow

This summer, Lily planted a sunflower in our front yard. It started as a tiny green sprout with just a few hopeful leaves, but with a little water, sunshine, and a whole lot of excitement, we watched it grow—fast. Every few days, Lily would check on her sunflower, noticing each new leaf, every inch taller, and cheering it on as it stretched closer to the sky. Before long, it was towering over her, a golden reminder of what’s possible with care and consistency.
Lily’s sunflower didn’t become the tallest overnight. It took daily check-ins, pulling a few weeds, making sure it had space to grow, and being patient through a few rainy days. But with just a little intentional effort, it grew faster and stronger than we expected.
The Lesson?
Growth—whether it’s in the garden, in business, or in ourselves—doesn’t require perfection. It just needs attention, consistency, and a belief that something small can become something great. You don’t have to overhaul everything at once. Focus on watering the seeds you’ve already planted—relationships, routines, client goals, employee development, that idea you’ve been thinking about. Give them light, time, and a little space, and just watch what happens.
This month, take a note from Lily and her sunflower: Show up, nurture what matters, and trust the growth—even if it’s happening slowly at first.
