Lessons with Lily: Father’s Day Firsts and a Fairway of Memories
This Father’s Day was one for the books.

It started with something brand new: Lily’s first time golfing. We teed off at Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course, and she played all 9 holes alongside me. It wasn’t about the scorecard—it was about trying something new, being present together, and sharing in the experience. Watching her figure out her stance, grip the club with confidence, and sink a few putts reminded me that the best lessons aren’t taught—they’re experienced.
Later that day, we cleaned up and celebrated with a family dinner at Capa at the Four Seasons, surrounded by people we love. The day wrapped up with laughter, stories, and a little bit of ice cream (naturally).

This month’s takeaway? Being a dad isn’t about the big moments—it’s about showing up for the small ones. Trying new things together, learning side by side, and sharing time as a family. Lily reminded me that leadership sometimes means stepping back and letting someone else take the first swing, even if it’s just on the fairway.
Grateful for a day full of sunshine, hugs, and the kind of memories you wish you could bottle up forever.
